    4502 Grill Post Removal?

    How are those metal clips removed from the cabinets? I'm restoring a pair and it would make sanding much easier if they were removed.

    Not sure what you're speaking of - the grill posts are a plastic stud that in most instances if not broken can be gently twisted out with pliers, taking care not to squeeze them parallel to the groove - would be good to place a wood insert in the groove to relieve any stress while squeezing.

    Do you have a pic of what you are talking about? Not sure what metal clips you are referring to.

    Yes, I want to remove those metal clips. There is four per speaker.

    Are yours actually metal on the speaker cabinet baffle? normally, they are plastic cylinders, and easily twist out with a pair of pliers, taking care to put something in the slot so as not to break off the tops.

    Again, a pic of what you have would help to clear things up.

    Sorry, that metal piece is a new issue to me, I hadn't personally dealt with that before. I'm glad the other thread had a solution though.
