Confusion on hook-up - low pass filter w/2 input, 2 output terminals???

I have two passive two way-low pass filters (800hz) that I purchased from Parts Express. However, there are only two input terminals (+, -) and two output terminals (+,-).

How do I connect the low frequency driver (15" JBL 2225) and the high frequency driver (1" JBL compression driver)?

    thanks...

Posting a link to the product ( or at least a picture of what you have in hand ) is helpful when soliciting internet diagnostics.

FWIW, it sounds like you simply bought the wrong part ( ie; a network that doesn't include any HiPass leg ).

Sounds like you bought a 800hz low pass filter (not crossover) instead of a 800hz 2 way crossover. A 2 way crossover should have 3 sets of terminals; 1 input, 1 low output, 1 high output

This. I'll bet you purchased part #266-450, which is, as you stated in the op, an 800Hz low pass filter, not a crossover network.

If you want to stay at 800Hz for the xover point, you will need to go with part #290-632 and not any of the cheaper versions they offer. This model will provide you with a steep 18dB/octave high pass roll off along with tweeter protection. Outside of building your own crossover or finding a stock JBL network, this is the best alternative for the drivers you are using.
