JBL L212 Ultrabass Grill Dimensions Needed

I need to fabricate a replicate L212 Ultrabass grill cover. I can reverse-engineer it, but just to be sure, can someone please tell me its dimensions, in particular how thick it is? Also, is it MDF? Photos would be great. Thanks.

It should be 16, 7/8 wide and 18, 1/8 tall, made from particle board 15/16 thick. It would be sized to fit into the recess at the front of the cab.

Thanks, Don! Is there a recess or groove (rabbet or rebate) around the edge? Do you know the hole diameter? If not, I'll just make it maybe 1/2"+ larger than the woofer frame.

Now, on to find that strange fabric.

Bump: Still hoping for photos of the back of the subwoofer grill. And does anyone know of a source for the unique grill cloth? Thanks!

Here you go mate, unsure about the fabric. It is a very thick weave compared to the normal grille cloths.

Thanks so much, mate! Much appreciated! Actually, based upon the peg holes and driver opening, that's gotta be right-side up.

And below is the grill fabric.

(PS I always wanted to say "mate". )

    Hahaha all good.

Did you find a source for the fabric? I wouldn't mind freshening up my system as well.

I thought so, too. I'll check out the cloth on my sons's Fender amp.
