    JBL in Japan pics

Was in Japan recently and as a longtime JBL fan since I was 11 years old I went absolutely gaga, wanted to share some pictures

There was a buffet of JBL speakers available for sale and most could be tried out with a myriad of power amps. The two superstores I visited had more than enough JBLs to sample for a day. They let you sample whatever you wanted.

Most of these amps were hooked up so you can test the JBL with them

Of course I had to sample these

If we knew what the hell we were doing, we wouldn't call it research would we.

    Noice!

Wouldn't mind "borrowing" one of the Luxman's that they don't need.

Now if Harmin' could get their shit together and set up a few stores like that in the U.S. .....

What an exciting experience for you!
I believe the prime reason JBL speakers have been so popular in Japan is lots of Japanese are big jazz fans,
and JBL has been regarded as THE choice for them among other brands for many, many years.
I hear many of the jazz cafes and clubs there, including the most famous Basie, are fitted with vintage JBL gear
such as SG520 and SE400S, along with speakers such as Paragon, 4343, 4344, Olympus, etc.
