    2420 on...?

    Hi everyone,
So I have been using JBL 2420's mounted on Altec 511b for a few years now and am pretty happy with them. I don't notice the ringing that so many people speak of, and to me they sound pretty good.
Anyway, I have available to me a pair of Altec 805's and the seller also has a pair of 291's for them. The cost isn't huge, sompared to prices I've seen on fleabay, but I am wondering if I could use some sort of throat adapter for the 2420 with the 805 inestead. I've heard a number of altec drivers in the past and have always preferred the sound of the JBL. Do any of you think this would be an improvement over what I am using now, or should I perhaps try some of the Azura horns, or perhaps the paper mache ones that Inlow makes (DIY of course
Thanks for any insight you can provide.

I guess my post didn't really make much interest
In any case, rather than the multicells, I ended up ordering the Azura horns...have yet to mount the drivers but am looking forward to it!

It will be fun to see how you go.

I have never had, nor had a chance to really listen to the components you listed at first so had no advise to give.

    All the best,
    Barry.
If we knew what the hell we were doing, we wouldn't call it research would we.
