Crown Stereo Set SL 2 PL 3 FM 2 - $1100 (Kennett Square, PA)

The Ultimate Vintage Crown Residential Stereo Set Up. 1981 Crown set out to offer their last and best residential stereo offering. Their swan song consisted of Crown Straight Line Two Pre-Amp (legendary), Power Line Two, Three, or Four Amplifier, and FM Two Tuner. They also offered an optional custom wood enclosure to beautifully display the electronics.

I am offering my MINT Crown Setup (Straightline Two, Power Line Three, and FM Two), including optional custom wood enclosure. System also includes all factory interconnects, as well as the Sony TC-FX6C that Crown packaged as part of their system.

Performance is second to none. Fantastic Class A/B power, huge sound stage with no distortion. The absolute Crown Jewel to any vintage stereo collection. Set cost over $3000 in 1981. For Sale, $1100. Questions, and/or to audition please email me.

    Congratulations
Sorry you didn't get the tuner (why'd they break up the set?!)
You going to hang onto the pieces for a while?

Crown Stereo Set SL 2 PL 3 FM 2 - $1100 (Kennett Square, PA)
That set has been on Ebay quite often over the past several months. The silver versions don't seem to sell as well and that one has no added value with the Sony. Looks like the amp could use a bit more ventilation space, too.

when i spoke with the couple they said they had been trying to sell the set, but nobody bit (no idea why!) except someone in orange county who collects tuners. odd...But, yeah, gonna hold onto it for sure.

Not really if it was the "FM THREE", they are rare
More than likely a "TWO" but still desirable as you alreday know
    You got the gold anyway
And black gold on top of that
    Is your "TWO" black?
    Very nice

I have both the FM TWO and the FM THREE and darn if I can find any difference between them.

Could say more about the sorry state of broadcast radio in my area than anything else. NPR in the car is about all it's good for. The rest I can do better on the Squeezebox Touch.
