TW, I would guess 95% of the members here are members of AK.......We are products of the 70s, we love the one we're with.
cookiesI am still interested in knowing how the site "knows" how many unregistered users are browsing, whether they be former registered members or just random individuals (non-members, never been members) directed here by searches for information? Whatever system runs this site that sophisticated that it "knows" when someone was directed here as the results of a google search and is simply reading?
Work the same as a youtube view counter?
Maybe what I am asking is how does the internet work!
I ask as the number fluctuates greatly from day to day and time to time

Yeah, I deleted the post after thinking about it, I am aware of analytics, embedded tools and google's ability to index sites etc.............but only possess a rudimentary understanding
Still, I thought it took sometime for this sort of data to be compiled and that it's not always 100% accurate or reliable
You know, everything works in two directions, a little disconcerting when you think about it (the big picture)
That's why I laugh at the term "secure connection" or whatever.............and my favorite one of all "improve the strength of your password(s)"
