    Can anyone help me with this strange 2214Q? or G? woofer??

    Can anyone tell me if this will be ok in a L100T speaker? I tried googling 2214Q and 2214G but it seems the correct woofer is 2214H. WHats going on here?? Thank you!!!!Name:  s-l1600.jpg

    Hanley, as far as I know, there are only two variants to the 2214 itself, the 2214H and the 2214H-1. One has a black front lip, the other polished. Also, there is variation according to whether it has the faston connectors or the push-clamp connectors. This may just be a misprinted label. Measure the DCR of the voice coil, if around 5.5-7.5 ohms, should be good 8 ohm version. I don't know of any other woofer that used that frame.

    Correct, just frame lip color. They all (both versions) are acoustically identical. Both use the classic 0.750 long coil in a 0.280 gap. Over the years the coil grew to 0.800 but they are basically all the same.
