Firstly, I am quite uneducated when it comes to all things JBL.
That out of the way...some time ago I was gifted most of the guts from a pair of 4612OK Cabarets. Since these parts practically appeared from nowhere, I sourced out the rest of the bits and now I have all of the parts sans cabinets.
This inspired me to make a music-H/T system based around these fairly well regarded pro speakers. I have been collecting power amps, preamps, an electronic crossover etc.
I was going to go with the 4612 and a sub along with a two way electronic crossover, but am now thinking that it would be great to go all JBL.
I've read that a pair of 2235s would be sweet to team up with these (if I could find some) and make them into B 380s.
However, the 4612's don't go low enough to match them with just 2235s, so I would need a transition driver to create what would be a 3 way system. The 4612OK being the high end, the 2235 being the low and what ever is suggested being the mids.
So...I'm open for suggestions.
