    2421 Diaphragm Help

    Hello,
I'm an idiot because I didn't care during renovation chamber in 2421 drivers. My screwdriver jumped and softly damaged aluminium diaphragm. The sound is clean, but I think about it. I have to buy new original replacement parts D16R2421 or possibly newer types D16R2425 or Radian 1225-16.
However, second time I was an idiot, that I bought a universal of diaphragm from China. I wanted to save money, but instead I spent more money in vain.
Please, what's it wrong? It is the wrong size or geometry? At first glance I do see anything wrong. Except, the origin D16R2421 dias have litle thin metal plates where are the mounting holes. I suspect that these thin plates do not provide the same “gap” between dia and top plate in a aftermarket 2421 and genuine 2421 driver by “lifting it a bit”. I'm confused as I always thought that the rearchamber of an compression driver is airtight sealed from the phase plug section? Shouldn't it? Any explanation would would be much appreciated.

    Thank you

    Bohdan
