    Thumbs up L-300 baffle paint - is this original?

    Hi,

    Anyone can help with identifying the L300 baffle paint on this unit:

    RAL 5007 is the code that gets you nearest , it needs a tweak though depending on texture and lighting

    That's the blue for the studio monitors, isn't it?

    I think the L300 were just satin black or something near that.

    Just do a Google search for JBL L300, then click on Images. You'll get lots of pics of various JBL L300s, I didn't see any with that particular paint.

    You are right.

    I could not find anyone like this pair.

    They look very nice though. Someone did a great job repainting them maybe.

    There's no reason you couldn't paint yours like that. If you like that look, go for it!

    First of all the the first link is to a Hafler preamp, the second to nothing at all. That last one works with the speckle paint. Just hit them with some black enamel paint or keep the grills on. Wonderful speakers.
