what impedance for 4350B tweeter and 12" ??

4350B Impedance for tweeter and 12"

    I am restoring a set of 4350B

(mid horns still working, 2231H reconed by Kenrick)

the 2405 tweeters are missing the labels - The diaphragms come in 4, 8, 16 Ohm ..

the 2202H 12" are missing, but they are easy to find again they come in 4, 8, 16 Ohm ..

anyone know which I need ??

    Thanks..

A monster project. The 2202 used in these cabinets was 8 ohm. As far as the 2405's are concerned, they were all
made with the same diaphragm even though some were labelled as 8 ohm and some 16 ohm.

If you are finding 4, 8, and 16 ohm diaphragms for the 2405, they are not a JBL part. The part number you want is D16R2405. Even though it has a "16" in the part number, it's the diaphragm for all 2405s.

While there are drivers like the 2405 and 2405H where the H denotes a ferrite motor, with the 2202H the H denotes 8 ohm, 2202J would be the 16 ohm version. I don't think they made a 2202G which would be a 4 ohm, but they might have.

So here we have another pair of 4350's going together here in Las Vegas, how cool is that?

We should get together and compare sometime.

I have tons of parts and will help if you want.

    Barry.
If we knew what the hell we were doing, we wouldn't call it research would we.

    Hi vegasmassimo,

What a nice project to be done.
As I know, use 2202H in 8 ohm version, and for 2405 only D16R2405 is proper diaphragm, so nominally 16 Ohm, but really about 10, rising towards 20Khz.
What driver with 2311 horn would be used? ( 2441J AL or something else?)

    regards
    ivica
