Just doing a refurbishment of two pairs of the JBL Sound Power Series 4716's. Unfortunately three of the 2123's were blown or voice coil rub. The one that works is on it's last legs (Works with no rub but lower output)
After some research for replacement 10"s using WinISD I have chosen the Fane Sovereign 300 woofers which sound very good. . The compression drivers seems to be OK apart from one which was open circuit.
In one of the speakers the crossover resistor over the woofer was open circuit resulting in higher output of the woofer and reduced top end of the compression driver. Resistor is 30ohm 20 watt which seems hard to find.
