Imagine asking for a $299,000 money order at the post office. Should be just as easy to paypal as well!
And shipping weight is only 6000lbs, UPS will love this!

I donīt get it, is that what they will pay for disposal?
10 years ago I was invited to a destruction party of a GE-Bull Gamma 30, that cost 2M 30 years ago, there were axes and torches available, an 80286 was more powerful.
It is history, man, history. Just like this place!

I hope you are kidding. The relay racks, (19" standard EIA rack cabinets), power supplies, relays, etc. were probably still quite useful. I realize as a computer it was as obsolete as a dinosaur, but the parts were most certainly worth more than the whole.Originally Posted by Alex Lancaster
I can appreciate the history behind the PC collection, but keeping several room sized computers around is a bit impractical.

The idea of the party was: "take whatever", motors, relays, anything.
