Hi Folks. I just bought a real nice 5235 with 4430/4435 cards and I am going to try this on my 4435s, Krell Kct preamp , Fpb400cx and Ksa 300 amps. Any suggestions for set up, cables ? Thanks for any suggestions.

Interested to hear your thoughts on the results as I have a a 5234A in the mail for my 4430s.
I have my speakers set-up pretty well right now but thought I'd give it a shot.
From what I understand, a good starting point for set-up is to position an SPL meter at the mid point between the low and high frequency drivers and equalize the output running a 1000 Hz sine wave. This should get you a proper balance between the drivers.
Good luck,
Warren
also do I need to change my xlr cables pin configuration as pin 3 is + on the 5235 vs pin 2 on my Krell equipment ?
both
You have an amazing high-end Krell setup and want to use the 5235?
The UREI xover is only good for testing, otherwise it's garbage sonically.
I went through the 5235, then a modified BSS FDS360 and now I settled on a Bryston 10B. Day and night difference between all 3.
Here's a link to a thread on the pin-outs of the 5235 for your perusal.

You can use a standard XLR cable -in- (absolute polarity will be inverted), but
the output is not balanced; pins 1 and 2 are connected to ground. If your amp
is ok (probably) with one leg of the balanced input shorted, then you could
still used a standard XLR cable -out- and the now-inverted signal would be
going to the negative pin input on the amp ... and now follow original polarity.
Simple, yes?
If it were me, I'd modify a standard cable or build one with a pin 2-3 crossover
for the input, and go unbalanced off of the terminal lugs to the amp... easier to
follow later and most balanced amps seem to indicate they'd be happier with
the positive input being driven and the negative input grounded (if driving with
an unbalanced signal)... might ask your krell dealer. Power amps on last.
So could I take say the input xlr plug going to the 5235 and swap the wires on pins 2 and 3 and also do the same on the output xlr an leave end at the amp standard. please bear with me as i am kinda new at this
...and don't forget to work that bi-amp switch back and forth a few times first to help make good contact.
4343 with 2235/2123/2450/2405 and CC'ed 3155 crossovers with Audyn Caps + Mundorf Supreme and also Krell amplification.
