Can someone identify these old JBL speakers

These were used as studio monitors in a recording studio in LA California. They look like L88 cabinets but the crossover controls are on the inside. They are also 3 way speakers, are they homemade studio monitors?

They could be the predecessor, or a consumer version of the L100. The woofer may be a D123 with a paper dome.

Probably the L88 Plus, which included the midrange and a crossover / control module of the M12 expander kit for the original L88 series.
