This general type of horn was commonly used in 1920s radios, enclosed out of sight in a cabinet. I have seen all sorts of folding schemes. That Utah driver is an early style reed armature compression driver. I have listened to a couple of these combinations, and they sounded tinny and resonant; terrible by modern standards. These horns served a need, though, for people who didn't want to listen to their radio through a big morning glory horn.

And BOZE claimes to have invented the lybrenth designs? Stromberg Carlson did this in 1936 among others.
