    Jbl 4648 enclosure

    Hi,

i understand the stock drivers for the 4648 is the 2226. But is it possible to put in the 2220 into these enclosures? Will I get good results , not withstanding the 40hz Fs of the 2220.

    thanks.

For starters, I think that box comes with 2226J's the 16 ohm version, while the 2220/136A is 8 ohms. What do you want to do? The 4648 isn't really well-suited for home use IMO. If power handling is an issue, that might be another problem.

    Hi,

I'm trying to assemble a double woofer system with 2441 on top. I only have 2220H. Wanted to be sure before I commit as there is one used 4648 available. I hope it's not a boom box, but I think the speed of the 2220 should be able to overcome the weakness of the 4648.?
