    Replacement for jbl5234 ?

I have an issue with my JBL5234 that is ahead of my stereo subwoofer amp set at 100HZ . What is a viable replacement ?

How about a JBL M552. Others here seem to like the Ashley a lot. You could search the forum for posts about the Ashley. I haven't heard that one.

I still have one of the 5234A's in line to my subwoofer, with an 80Hz crossover card to cut the rest out. The 6dB peaking EQ/subsonic filter is hard to do without once you use it. They can be modified to work with a 2242H and the 25Hz tuning of 4645B and 4645C cabinets

Is yours an "A" model, or an original 5234? The "A" models sound much cleaner- the distortion figure is lower by a factor of 10:1 compared to the original (non-"A") model, and have a lower noise floor too.
