Goliath horn 604HPLN as three way

Goliath Horn cabinet for Altec 604 HPLN used as woofer and tweeter and separate midrange. I originally made the bass horn for 18 inch but this 16 inch altec is a wonderfull sound in it too. I cross it at 1000 12db and 5000 6db the mid horn overlaping from 400 to 5000 6db slope.

That's an interesting use of a 604. Probably a good idea to route most of the midrange away from the tiny horn in the 604. Is the midrange horn an Iwata or Le Cleach profile? What is the driver used on the midrange horn?

Wow that's cool. One rarely sees anything make a 604 look tiny!
If we knew what the hell we were doing, we wouldn't call it research would we.

Hello Francis, The 604 sounds full enough on it's own and covers the full range , the horn just add the mid sound only a big horn can produce. The horn is 270Hz Modified Iwatta from Le cleach calculations with some hand shaping, The driver is JBL 2440 slug with Radian dia

Thanks , It is Giant and heavy but the top hood can be removed as well as the baffle side extensions , then it is manageable incase I need to move them,
