Title says it all, but is there a newer version of the 10" JBL 2123 or is this the latest incarnation of this midrange driver?
TIA

Barry.
If we knew what the hell we were doing, we wouldn't call it research would we.
Thank you but I see that it is discontinued too. Is there a currently available, new successor?
At a guess I would say the 2251.
Allan.
But 2251 efficiency is about 1dB less then 2123 applying 1W/1m,
but if voltage amplifier used applying 2.83Veff then
the difference would be about 6dB ~ 7dB
but as presented on the (round 600HZ):
2251 ( 4.06V):
http://www.audioheritage.org/vbullet...l=1#post172623
so SPL level (1m) would be round 96dB, and if reduce -3dB that would correspond to 2.83V so SPL(2.83v,1m)=93dB
2123 (2.83V):

SPL(2.83V,1m) = 100dB
