    Felt Fix

This is not terribly complicated and the 601 is a worthwhile driver.

Bill From Great Plains will get you the correct felt and glue, or you can source something locally. You will need to remove enough of the felt to remove the tweeter 3 screws. Remove the remaining felt and adhesive without sending debris into the voice coil gap for the woofer.
Slip the tweeter through the new felt and glue it in place.
The felt is there to prevent crud from getting into the voice coil gap for the woofer.
The tweeter will not handle much power and is expensive to repair, so you may want to protect it with an inline fuse, I think 5 watt fast blow was recommended, check with Bill.
You want to avoid having lateral stress on the cone from the felt, picture for what the tweeter looks like removed and felt completed.

    Thanks for pointing folks

Don't need a schematic by definition but a exploded view of assembly....at this point it appears a rebuild and cleaning is necessary.
Great Plains though I didn't contact them their list doesn't offer a cone for this model. Guess i'll send a note anyway. Can't find another parts source they come up equally dry.
There was a place west of boston which did reconing but have ceased operations.
