WTH? Seems I get logged out if I blink or go away for a few minutes and then have to log in again - why?

    Sorry. Working fine for me!
". . . as you have no doubt noticed, no one told the 4345 that it can't work correctly so it does anyway."—Greg Timbers

Yep - I was logged in - walked away for 4 hours, came back and refreshed the page,
and I'm still logged in ...

Isn't there a little "[v] Keep me logged in" check close to your credentials when logging in?

I usually only have to log in every month or so, normally with a browser upgrade.

Only check box is one labeled "remember me".

My problems with computers are legion!!!! First job I'd hire for would be a savvy computer operator! How in ____ are people who did not grow up or have no interest in computer technology supposed to operate these ____ things without having problems???

I have no idea what this means!

And probably explaining it will mean little to me or any other computerphobe.

My computer connects to the internet via Verizon FIOS, I don't use a Cable TV hookup or a dial up modem connection. Its not a PC computer using some version of Windows, its a MacPro desktop machine, and I'm using Yosemite (the latest version of the Mac operating system). Some folks use Internet Explorer, the Microsoft web browser. Firefox is the Web browser that started life as Netscape way back when. See - not so hard ... and yeah, I came to computers later in life ... but I am a geekie/techie/engineer kind of person ... I did radio station type electronics in College ...

and I was a physics major in college but have grown tired of science & technology* as in spite of it**, the world seems to be going to a certain hot place very rapidly .

*Can't keep up with it anymore - esp the older you get!

    **Or maybe because of it?

P.S. I use an older second hand desktop (Windows xp) connected via AT&T by phone line - both give me trouble - sometimes its almost like being on dial up!

I really have no business operating a computer anymore then I would piloting a 767! ROTFTMHO

Anyway, since starting this thread, I don't (so far) "seem" to be having the same log in problem - did somebody do something??

Then don't sell them, and don't use the little bluetooth earpiece!
and probably best to move to some quiet little island away from technologies and science!

But beware the trees - that pollen will probably kill you too!

Interesting that my original inquiry (post #1) has not been answered.
