    Passive x-over JBL VS3115/SR4735x

I've bought a pair of JBL VS3115 (almost the same as SR4735x) and thinking it would be nice to use them with passive x-over but originaly they can only be used biamped.

    Any sugestions for a passive crossover between 15" (2226) and 8" (M209-8A)?

    Nice

Please report your impressions of them. It`s extremely fun with PRO-speakers I think. Did you sell all your recent Pro gear? (2447, 2352 etc)? I recently bought some Pro speakers (non JBL) but an old brand. Martin Audio H2. They sound very nice and dynamic. It`s something with horn loaded speakers http://www.martin-audio.com/products...2datasheet.pdf
BTW: Jag förstår med vad ni skriver

    Hallo!

Those speakers is intended to use for bi-amping or tri-amping, for good reason. I woulden't use any passive on those speakers.

Buy two Crowns MAi5000i with dbx260 and you will be a happy man. You have now enterd inside the Pro world and there is no turning back.

No, no, you write well in Norwegian.
Think it's a good solution too.

I've been into the Pro world a long time

Could "delay" be an issue with passive x-over? Jerv mentioned this and I think he might have a point...

    Besides to not to?

I have a pair of those and I wouldn't do it if only to preserve the high efficiency of the mid and high portion. My two bits.

The crossover between HF and 8" have builtin x-over when biamped.

I would prefer running them from a 2-channel amp, that's the reason for wanting passive x-over also between 15" and 8"

    mine go to 11

Took a pair of guts from the "weather resistant" factory boxes and converted an old set of concert series subs.

I *think* I installed the passive section from a 4735A but won't know until I dig them out later this week.

I use them at Halloween to scare the crap out of the little kids...

For best effect use a momentary contact footswitch on the speaker line(s) so there is NO sound whatsoever until it's time to cry.
