Any opinion to buy a pair of UREI 811 or 813 ! Is it any good idea ?

I have a possibilty to buy a vintage pair of 813, however, I wonder if these sound as good as todays monitors or if it would be a better invest to buy new monitors as for example the JBL 6332, Adam etc ?

Will it be a bad investment ?

It is of course not as good as todays monitors,but it sounds old school style,it worth to invest.

What versions of the 811 or 813 A,B or C?? They may be very hard to find parts for so make sure they are in good shape before you pull the trigger. They are large format monitors so they don't directly compare with the midfields like the 6332 as an example. Different animals so to speak. If you are interested definitely arrange an audition, you may find them quite appealing. Rob
