IF you do make it to Canby , check around for a guy who looks like "Father Time" with a ballcap (either black/Intel or green/Oregon Trail) sitting on the floor going through the dollar boxes.
Just give him (me) a gentle kick and say "Hi TOM" this is QD from LHF" ... I kinda met SpeakerLabFan in kinda that way at a different show (but he doesn't kick).

It's a real mellow show, unlike Night Owl.

If you haven't been to one of these shows before, a good tip is to pack along one of those cloth grocery bags that can hang on a shoulder. They are fine for carrying lots of LP's.

I don't have much room for it but I plan on setting it on top of one of my 4345's. I'll put a black poster board down and a 3/8 in. semi hard rubber pad with a 1/4 smoked glass top on that then the turntable, that should damp any vibes, (I Hope)
If anyone wants it, I've got an old switchcraft #668 stereo switch box that's similar. Switch will connect its RCA jack pair input to your choice of 3 other stereo jack pair outputs. $20 + shipping.

already .. so I put it on CL.

More than a few Technics tables had cue problems, some worse than others and usually involved broken parts or belts
The 1900 is one of the most common, all the parts involved are plastic
There was a guy on-line at one time that specialized in the repair but only on a few models, I found him because I also found a $20 1900
I think he was actually making some parts or had a stash of NOS parts for certain models
He wouldn't fool with the 1900, I finally figured soemthing out with a combination of glue and grease
More than a few of the arm versions had lift issues but the fixes aren't all the same
Different parts stuck or gone bad but same symptom
The 1900 is a good looking table but one of the worst for things going bad arm wise

I think that's so cool for a table that's so pooh-poohed, even vilified by so many, another REGA clone
And from an engineering giant that can do whatever it wants, it's a SONY!
Wonder if Roy Gandy gets a nickel for every table built that steals his basic design?
    I love it
That arm looks very decent, I'd like to see this table up close and personal
Weighs about what most decent consumer tables used to weigh, around 13 pounds but the manual gives a weird spec, Approx. 5.4 kg or 11.9 lb 19.5 oz
I thought 16 ounces made a pound? Must be a misprint
Looks decent, certainly isn't cheap price wise and unfortunatley not made in Japan

The return of the LP – what lies behind the renewed appeal of vinyl?

They have the wrong headshell on it. The correct one is a clone of the older SME style. It looks like an OK deal though.
