welll, dusting off my meager math skills . from dead top pin to dead bottom is 180. There are 2 pins between the top & bottom, leaving 3 spaces ... so those spaces are 180/3 = 60 degrees each.

pin on left in pic is same spacing, so add 60 to the existing 180= 240, not 270.

where am I going wrong ? where are the extra 30 ?

You may be on to something there , but thats what they are called. The pins are clustered closer together than a a standard din although at a push with a bit if wiggling you can make them fit , just .

You're right with 240 degrees, and I was wrong with my 270 !

    Best regards and pardon me!

So I got the 2013 remaster CD of Fleetwood Mac's "Then Play On" , it is a great album and even better with a clearer sound now.
Burned a backup copy and accidentally stuck it into the wrong CD player, and the Arcam played it. This has never happened before, but it was burned on a different PC than I've used in the past ..where the Arcam would not play.

(the pic was just a test of my newish, GoPro'ish vid cam)

    from Mikey ...

You do not want to miss the entertaining, informative and important "Making Vinyl" day two keynote address with visuals by Sony Music Entertainment International Services Co-Managing Director Gerhard Blum.

His is a very important and entertaining message for anyone interested in the vinyl record resurgence and especially in keeping it going strong for years to come!

    Bubble mania

    .
well, I've got 2 of 3 exactly "on" , telescope level is pretty close.

in my GoPro accessories, there was a rubber accessory that wasn't needed. it clamps perfectly over the plex as a strain relief if I widen the top a bit for the cable.

    vinyl vs cd

we do disco parties on a hifi system and we noticed that if we "record, rip whatever the term is now" the vinyl onto cd quality 44k16bit wav we are unable to tell the difference between vinyl/digital rip . but if we play the 12" vinyl vs distributed media copy cd vs vinyl we can easily tell the difference and that is true for multiple editions of cd presses
we even have 12" records RE-mastered and it dont sound the same as the original pressing
it must have something to do with the cd mastering and loudness contour...... dynamic range compression and sales of the cd media
after much experimentation we now use only original pressing 12 inch vinyl on a technics 1200mk5g with at vm740ml cart and it yields fantastic results vs cd of any flavor .

our system is a 5 way JBL system powered by CROWN iHD
