Building a High End Center Channel

I'm thinking 2 way, passive crossover. I have 2425 and 2235. If I used these drivers, I'm thinking of a sealed cabinet to tighten up the bass and improve the midrange out of the 2235. The 2235 data sheet suggests a maximum crossover of 1khz. Has anyone tried this set of drivers and found the optimum crossover frequency?
    Thanks,
    Paul

1K is optimum for the directivity, as the beamwidth from a 15 narrows above that. Response anomalies also start appearing about there. That is a little low for a 2425, depending on the horn you use. I tend to use the little compression drivers above 2K, although my 4430 clones sound fine @ 1.2K after I added a 10" midbass from 300Hz...

How can a sealed cabinet improve or only alter the midrange ?
