i'll bore you to tears yet....

you know the new parents that have endless piles of snaps of the new baby...... hmmmm well sorry here is yet another one of mine. nearly finished now. just have to plane the back top access panels to size, paint them and screw them on.

next is to finish off the Pro 3 amp i am building for the LF drivers.

i had a bit of a listen to the MF, HF & UHF (no LF) drivers today with no EQ adjustments made on the dbx unit. some Joni Mitchell vocals. sounds very promising.

    Very nice!

You'll probably want to get those 2235H's up off the floor when you're done finishing the enclosures. I used open stands under my 4430's and the difference was night and day.

The Baffles are definately the wrong colour.

Regardless of the decor JBL Blue is the Look imho.

Sorry Fella but without covers Black rules as the baffle color of choice.

    JBL Blue is Original!

No doubt the Blue baffle is the original color, but it does look good in black, too!

To be honest if I had gone for an exact clone WITH grilles I would have went that way. As it is now the Blue Horn on my center annoys the crap out of my wife. Uncovered billboard size JBL blue baffles will not cut it in this house at least. I have a can of JBL Blue from Bo in reserve just in case the oportunity presents itself.

    Talking HAHAHAHAHA

Well i went for black because:
    1. i did not want grills
    2. i did not want the bevel edge or any walnut showing on the front
    3. i want it to be colour that matches any decor
    4. i wanted it to look exactly like front my sub (B380) but now i am making two new subs (sub1500) and they will be exact woods/look.

hmmmmm blue looks cool as well though (CorelDRAW blue not JBL blue) :-)

    blue horns....

the secondhand horns i got where a bit tatty. with glue on the rim and scatches on the inside in the what looked like dirty grey paint. anyway i cleaned them all up and gave them a squirt of matt black paint down the throat. can't see them peeking out through the lens at all.
