What do you do when your wifey is working the weekend?

    Refoam some 2121s of course!

I bought these on Ebay as a backup, just in case mine should ever disintigrate.

    Look! We had twins.
    Both in perfect shape.
    Out of the hospital already.

    The end.

Ah, the no-shim method. Did you ever run into any problems that way?
I did my last pair without and seemed to go fine. I just wonder if the vc is aligned correctly that way.

    Same basket, different cone assembly.
The 2121 also lacks aquaplas so it is more efficient than the LE10A.
It was purpose-built for the 4343 Studio Monitor.

    no-shim method

I refoamed 6 drivers that way and never had any voice coil rubbing. The key is to glue the outer edge while you apply a 30Hz tone that keeps the vc center. Let it run for an hour while the glue cures and voila! auto centered.
