    Hi Mannermusic,

Lucky Yo are. From time to time on the Lottery some of the 'participant' has become a winner, but here dealing with the pro type industrial products, there must not to be a kind of lottery-luck.
I believe that the quality control has been established just to prevent 'a lottery luck' .

    Hallo!

I have to ask, why did you wait so long for the second one. It schould arrive at the same time. Maybe your authorized dealer get the second kit from somewhere else.
    Maybe pirate copy?

All of the JBLs I have in my house is "Made in Mexico", seems good here. If looking at the papercone from outside, no differences here. Not, that I have inspected them inside.

JBL dealer says that they ordered two at same time but JBL delivered only one. They believe this one was on stock in Denmark at that time. Second was coming from USA and I waited almost half a year.

Maybe it is time to ask the right questions to your authorized dealer. Namely, where they are manufactured. Can it be that they are manufactured from another dealer somewhere else. This has to be investigated.

How do you know that they are Made in Mexico, is it written on the boxes?

Well till now I received many recone kits. Some from Mexico and some from Northridge. This shipment boxes look same as all I saw till this date. Also markings on cones and stickers with numbers seems like coming from JBL. Of course this does not guarantee anything. But this is authorized dealer so I suppose they are ordering using JBL system.

I understand, but, asking to much question never hurts

I will contact them after holidays. I am afraid they will only offer me refund since this kit is now discontinued, and I need good kit not money. I will see how this will progress.

    Hi

To me it looks like somebody is trying to make better income by reducing the cost of making parts. In it self thatīs okay! But at some point it will do something to the quality of the products and thatīs NOT okay!
If you put the two kits on a scale are there then a difference? Does the spider and surround have the same stiffness?

Sometimes i hate optimizing!! But i must say Iīm surprised that they can not even guarantee the physical looks.... who in the speakerindustry even the cheapest ones can not guarantee that the speakercomponents will look the same, and build the same way...

    JBL... where are you going?

Well I received also good kits from Mexico. But with this one I must say I am not happy. From my perspective quality of particular kit I received is low. Sorry that I am saying this , but is reality.
