with a Vandy center and a 4641 sub!

I talked with Mr.John Vandersteen,i said the speakers' appearance are not so hi-end like other hi-end brand ,he said he put every efforts into sound quality, and the appearance is just for better sound and can not be changed

YES - rather than spending money on making high end veneered boxes, he makes unveneered woofer cabinets
and such and masks it all with the cloth columns and puts all the real money in drivers! Sounds very nice and works well too!

The barrier strips for inputs are a nice touch, too.

I have earlier versions of those models and have dual bananas (Mr. Vandersteen recommends biwiring).

The mark up on tube amps is insane, especially big triode amps like the 211 and 845. You want to see pricey look at wavac's 833 amp. I want to say its $140000. And I didn't put to many zeros there.

Its the mystical magic of a single ended circuit, lol. The single ended circuit is the simplest, at least the signal path.

But they do make nice noise.

There is something to that... and as you mention the circuits are simple and parts counts are low. Assuming the manufacturers have some integrity about their pricing, they must be putting that money into caps and transformers. A few years back I was using a pair of 845 based amps for the mids and highs of a multi-way system. They were in the sub $5K per pair range... they did sound very nice.

I'm pretty skeptical about their full range performance, but then I haven't been as enamored as others with tubes on big JBL woofers in general.

And I'm so glad my 300B amps cost only $2600, which was not a drop in the bucket on my income! I don't feel the need for more expensive amps, especially since I'm older and my hearing IS dropping off I have noticed lately.
