    240x magnet material

What magnet material was used in the old 240x tweets ? in the literature they talk about it possessing highest residual flux density , max energy product, highest performance in actual production , resistance to demagnetization ,etc .

    some key points
they state that it was anisotropic, wet formed, strontium ferrite .this could be C5(can be wet or dry) C7 , C8A , C8B

highest residual flux density implies c8a or c8b possibly , unless I'm misinformed .

the june 1991 tech notes on the 2405h mention this "super ferrite" which could have been rather ordinary C5 .

The LE14h-4 listed in the transducer info forum states that it used C5 magnet material ...

Answer that for me and I'll be back tomorrow to bore you with questions about the "low reluctance iron" magnetic assemblies as used on le14h-1 (among others) dated april 1994. was this the top plate material at that time ? again the most excellent le14h-4 tech note mentions plain low carbon steel , but that was later on.

If you want to google try "jbl low reluctance iron"

and/or "jbl anisotropic strontium ferrite magnet"

    LATER !
