    Atec Magnificents

Whats the consensus here? Home made or the real deal. 416-8A, 808-8A, 511B with N501-8A. Have a chance at them for around $700. Just don't want to invest in drivers and I don't think they are the real deal.

Those cabinets definitely look home made. A7 cabinets sell for close to nothing unless original Altec. Then, maybe they sell for $200 at most. As for the drivers in your picture, you need to unmount them and inspect them.

The components if working well are easily worth the asking price. The cabinets to me look as though they might be original, though with the die cut wooden grills sadly removed. I had a pair of these factory systems long ago, bought for $750 and sold later for $1200 in fairly beat up condition; and that was twenty years ago!
