JBL Cinema serie 2447H, 4637 and tweeter

    Hi!

I have the opportunity of buying old 3-way cinema speakers with 2427H, 4637 and the tweeter is not specified.

The speakers doesn't have crossover, they are 3 in total, that this means I have to use 3x3 amplifier, one amplifier per signal?

Is there any passive crossover that I can try? If I go with active crossover and amplifier what can I use?

    Thanks for the reply.

The 4637 has a 2035 driver. A low cost alternative to a 2226. http://www.audioheritage.org/vbullet...6-2035-vs-2226. Value is maybe 50$ per driver. Box is no value at all.

The 2427H is a 2426 with an adaptor. Or did you mean a 2447? 2427 doesn´t need a tweeter. 2427 is worth maybe 50$ paying 100% overprice for the JBL logo.

For this combination of drivers you can make a passive crossover with some help from this forum.

    It is 2447

I confirm that the horn is a 2447H and it is really expensive. But I am surprise the 4637 is so cheap

    I don't know the tweeter.

A pair of 2447 is worth maybe 3000 NOK. Then the horns have some value depending on the model. Find out which model it is.

The tweeter is probably a ferrite 2405. Not worth much since you cannot know the state of the diaphragm. I would say 1000 NOK for the pair and unseen diaphragm. An alnico 2405 is worth more.
