What to look for instead of JBL LS ?

    Hello !

I currently have JBL LS40 and LS center as front speakers and I really like them, but Im a bit curious in the older JBL speakers and would like some tips on what to look for, I would like two fronts and a center.
I want two floorstander that wont tip over easily, because of small children playing around.

I got an Onkyo 1007 and Rotel 1077 amp driving the LS-system.

I like a warm sound and not too hard harsh tweeters.

What should I look for ?

I live in Sweden so ebay.com aint an option because of shipping costs.

    Thanks in advance.

I haven't heard the LS40s, but when the LS Series was first introduced here in the US I brought home a pair of LS80s and thought they were a very good value offering a taste of the new high end JBLs at a much more affordable price point. I don't think you will find vintage JBLs that are superior without spending a ton on them and then massaging them a bit.
