It's like comparing a Hummer to a sports car. Either one is good, just depends on what you want to do with it. Is this a general question or are you thinking of getting either one for yourself?
hi! its a general question....i allready got the hummer (4430), just curious i guess..Originally Posted by JBLnsince1959
Well Fredrik,
The LSR32 has been updated. The current product is the LSR6332. Other than the cosmetic change of the baffle I am not sure if there are other changes. I think you should buy a pair. From your avatar it is obvious that you like the 4310. The LSR6332 is the direct descendant.
In 1977 the 4311WX cost $333. Using an inflation calculator that turns into $1080.58 in today's dollars. The street price for brand new LSR6332s is $2195pr, or $1097 ea.
JBL has improved upon the 4310/4311 in every way. They have used every bit of knowledge that they have gained over the last 30 years and have produced a remarkable product and are essentially charging the same price for this significantly better product!
As for your original question... John Nebel owns the LSR6332s and the 4435s... maybe he can give his opinions...

I have listened to both, but the LSR not so much which certainly says something.
Normal to large room - 4435 (has great bass and power handling capability
although Don McRitchie has heard that the 2426's sound would break up at around 110dB)
If I wanted a less obtrusive system, the LSR 6332 would be a great choice (very linear, not so much bass- just look at the specs - scarily linear).
John
PS
Widget's cost analysis is great.
Don,
Would not the dedicated LSR subwoofer be the way to go then!
Ian
I have listened to all the LSR's and would say that they are some of JBL's best sounding speakers for the price. The 6332's w/sub were amazing. I personaly own the 25p's and I love to use them to determine if other speakers are even worth listening to.Originally Posted by Mr. Widget

Right, 4430 has less bass than 4435 and each has more than LSR. Speaker comparisons are tough - it's what one likes and all of these are great systems.

That is what it all boils down to!Originally Posted by John Nebel
