    Everyone smile and say CHEESE...

I'm a very happy camper playing audio salesman, switching back and forth with my favorite tunes playing way too loud.

Just added two Advent's 10" two way's to the mix. Last time I spent i heard these models was about 30 years ago.

First and slightly smaller pair is the older designed "Advent Loudspeaker". Second pair is the last version, model "Advent 5002".

After the first 60 minutes, I'm leaning towards the 5002. Not even close when compared to the 4311's.

Bought both pair two days apart, and both 15 minutes from my house. When it rains it pours.

After I'm done spending time with them, I'm going to keep one pair and sell the other.

At one time I considered putting together a small speaker museum... decided the space was too precious.

How do you like those Infinities?

Are the L-150s your favorite or the Infinity's?

Very cool. I suggest shorting the inputs of all unused speakers- that way they won't sing along as much, since right now the magnet can't provide any "braking".

    Infindity RS III B's

Room is 40' x 35' x 9', powered with JBL 6290 @ 300W 8 ohms. Speakers are set up in one corner of the room.

At lower volume's I prefer the Inf over the JBL. I love the sound and design. One of my favorites. Would love to have the RS II's someday.

Can't beat the bass on 4 10" LF drivers in sealed cabinet with 300 watts per side. Great match with the EMIT tweeters.

At higher volumes and when you push the power on, the Inf's run out of gas.

JBL's really come to life when opened up and pushed. I've gotten the Inf's to bottom up, never came close with the JBL's.

Great fun to AB these two.

    Camel Grilles

The JBL L-150's came with brown grilles.
I build and sell new 4310, 4311, 4312 reproduction grilles and have gained quite a bit of experience restoring grilles.
I too like the modern look of the brighter fabric.
In the near future I'm going to build out a run of L-150 grilles, available in seven color choices.
