Lancer 77 pr 10differences.

I have a pair of Lancer 77 speakers that I did a re foam on and also have an extra pair of drivers and passives. The extra pair of passives have an extra piece n the back of the cone.Is this a weight of some sort? Would these be better?

The PR8 and PR10 had a similar configuration to the PR15C shown here. http://www.audioheritage.org/vbullet...ll=1#post37563

I vaguely recall that the earliest versions of the PR8 and PR10 did not have this configuration.

So would i be better off keeping the pair with the weights installed? I trying to thin out some things for extra cash but would want o keep the better parts.
