250ti vs. BP2000 ?

The 250ti and Definitive Tech BP2000 are the 2 speakers that I've always thot to be the ultimate for my home..Locally there are a pristine pair of BP2000's for sale at slightly less ( owner is asking $1500) than 250ti's normally go for.

Does anyone have the experience to compare these 2 ? All I have is Julian Hersh's test report and he ended the review saying " the BP2000 is the first speaker I have been able to audition that has given me the special thrill that usually costs ten or more times its price to obtain" ...they sold for $3000 in the late 90's.

If you have heard them and they truly suck, please let me know, if they cant even start to compare to 250ti's, let me know...I want your informed opinions.

LATER : checked ebay and there are a pair for BIN $699 ...so these may not be the deal I thot they were...still looking for 250ti's , I guess...

i have never seen the bp2000. i had a set of bp30's. they were built very well and sounded good. being bi-polar, placement was critical, but once they were in the right spot, they imaged very well. i thought the tweeters were good, on par to the yamaha ns-1000 tweeter. these look good, i am curious to here opinions as well.
