October meeting place and time set: http://lasvegasaudioclub.blogspot.co...-time-set.html

This month's host has a pair of Studio 590s driven by vintage McIntosh. Should be interesting!

    Now that was fun!

It's been a lot of fun listening to other peoples systems and educational too. Todd has a fun system, a lot of enthusiasm, and a way cool retro house. Let's do it again.

    Thanks Todd and Dave!

    Barry.
If we knew what the hell we were doing, we wouldn't call it research would we.

You're welcome, sir. Thank you for your enthusiasm and dedication to the club. Not to mention that several of us are JBL users!

    Greeting, Guys,

Looks like a fine time was had by all, and that's great!! I'm really happy that you folks have the LVAC, and that you share your meetings, and get-togethers with all of us here at LH!! Well done, and keep up the fun work! Take care, and God Bless!

    Every Good Wish,
Doc (who might have to make a trip to LV, one of these days!)
The only thing that can never be taken away from you, is your honor. Cherish it, in yourself, and in others.

No doubt. What are those JBLs? Studio 590s (about $600 each, street price)? Did they have the "advantage" of the Velodyne, too?

Yep, Studio 590s! I believe they're a bit more than that (I could be wrong.) Yes they did, but for some odd reason, the mids and highs were subdued compared with the ol' Klipsches. The 590s had a "thicker" sound.

Interesting. Thanks for the comparison. Any other 590 owners here who can comment on them? Could be fodder for a new thread . . .
