That the internet contains a blog documenting your life does not constitute proof that your existence is valid. Sorry.

    i suppose

It's time consuming to find pics from the net by searching with the right key words first and seeing JBL on the pics after... but it's like a game and it's very funny to feed this thread
    "Souvenirs souvenirs"

In 1968, Hendrix agreed to a 5 year contract with Sunn Amplifiers. In exchange for all the free equipment that the Experience needed, Hendrix agreed to offer his input for research and development. Hendrix started out with a 100S cabinet, loaded with one JBL D130 in the bottom and a LE 100S driver horn in the top. Later, the Sunn setup included up to five Coliseum P.A. tops - altered for guitar at 120 watts RMS each - with ten speaker cabinets loaded with two JBL D130s each. Hendrix soon stopped using Sunn because he got a lot of noise from the amplifiers (not from JBL) that he didn't like when playing at high volume levels.

Pete used the Sunn 200S 2x15" rear-loaded folded-horn enclosures, which would have two JBL D140. Pete also appears to have occasionally used the Sunn 100S cabinet, which was the same size but featured one JBL D130 and one JBL LE100S midrange driver with high-frequency acoustic lens/horn. Both the 100s and 200s cabinets were 42″ high x 24″ wide x 15″ deep.

Jerry Garcia (Grateful Dead) 70's 80's

He used JBL E120s stacked in a verticle cabinet in four then eventually three speaker configurations (note the MC 2300 amp )

An unusual speaker set up :

Note the bottom speaker in the cabinet. It is inversely mounted on the exterior of the stack, facing inward. Note that it is also connected. What purpose did this serve?

Love this show. Have watched it many times and still somehow missed the JBL rig.

    JBL ad, ca. 2002

    Pete promoting

"Today I use JBL speakers everywhere in my life — at home and in the studio. I still have several sets of 4311s, and lots of smaller speakers that I like to use rather than those funny Yamaha things everyone loves. I use big modern JBLs for my cinema set up at home (I use the cinema rig as a test bed for my 5.1 mixes as well)"

Has anyone watched the "History of the Eagles"? It's been on cable a lot lately. Anyway, in one of Joe Walsh's interview shots, he's sitting in front of a wall of speakers, all of which seem to be JBL's. They're slightly out of focus, so hard to identify.
