TAD Recone

I have 4 TAD 1602 drivers . I would like to recone them to 1601A or 1601B does anyone know if the baskets are interchangeable ?

I once did a comparison of specifications available on line and came to the conclusion that the 1601, 1601A and 1602 frames are the same, but I was never able to confirm this with anyone more knowledgable.

Since the 1602 is no longer available it seems a shame to destroy good ones for A recones, which are fairly plentiful. I have a pair of 1601 frames loaded with 1603 cones by a sound company and never reinstalled. If you are interested in them in trade for a pair of 1602's send me a pm.

I agree completely. 1601As are the most common TAD woofers out there.

Now a pair of 1601Cs... those are really rare and valuable.
