    Hypex NCore are my choice

You'd be hard pressed to find many amps that are even competitive with the more affordable NCore options. Nord Audio has an odd website, but great prices and quality for a range of NCore based amp packages.

I've worked with both the integrated OEM units (switching PSU) and the DIY oriented NC400. They're very similar and absolutely top-shelf. Basically, amps are not a factor any more with these, as they're exceptionally good sounding, and very stable even into tough loads. You can then focus on what does matter- speakers and room and most importantly, music!
