    Need help with JBL DX1

Hi guys, I am getting JBL DX1 this weekend and I would like to use it with my JBL 4350 speakers instead of the JBL 5235 I am using now....How can I change the cards in the DX1 to fit the 250Hz required for the 4350?

The crossover cards for the XPL-200 are at 250Hz. I have used a DX-1 with those cards to biamp a pair of 4344's and it worked fine. Which cards do you have?? You might want to make new ones and leave the stock cards as is depending on which ones you have. Do a search for DX-1 there are schematics posted.

    Hi Rob,
I did not see it yet so I will look inside....I have seen the schematics, but I thought there are some other frequency for the XPL 200 then the 250? I thought it was 300Hz?

The passive is 300hz the active is 250hz. Measured voltage drive with XPL 200 cards in place.

Those appear to be XPL cards.

the system is up and running! Lots of gain on the DX1! Much more than on the 5235 I was using before....it looks that the DX1 was modified (new gold plated RCAs at the back and maybe more?)
Do you also have lots of gain if you use the DX1? I have to use the gains on my power amplifiers way down....to not overpower the system now. But the sound is clear and full of detail and ambience...easy to adjust to the better resolution.
