Aftermarket recone parts have their use

Some JBL drivers are not easy to find, and to be honest not all of them are suitable for what the heart desires. This is a 2118 Basket With a 127 cone cut Down to size and refoamed With Rick Cobbs 116H? foams, and a 16mm voice coil. These are suitable for 50Hz - 3 db in a 25 litre cab With a sensitivity sligthly above 90db. A different Version consists of a 2118 basket, a 116 cone and a edgevound 14,6 mm coil wich gives -3db at 55hz With sensitivity of 92db/1W in a 25L cab. none of these cab sizes vs specs are possible With a standard 116 driver.
