    123a-1 scrape test

Anyone ever hear of a scrape test for the 123a-1 driver? If so, how is it done?

    OK

A scrape test???? As in Voice Coil rub?? Just run a sign sweep and don't try moving the cones by hand to check. Very tight in that gap.

    OK

Let's start over. Why are you asking about this?? A sine sweep will tell you if you have a missaligned voice coil. You will hear a rather distinctive buzzzzz usually at a particular frequency range but sometimes all the time when you do the sweep.

Why are you asking about this

OK Rob, I got you now! I understand fully. I am asking because, although I am quite familiar with electronics, I do not know it all when it comes to speakers! If I did, I wouldn't need guys like you ! THANKS ROB.
