    Difference between 046Ti and 046Ti-1

Finally got my last driver so I can go with all original drivers on my XPL-200 clones. Any idea what the difference is between these?? They look the same are the same size and seem to sound the same. Any ideas??? Polarity the same???

    The 046Ti-1 has CCA wire.

    046ti vs 050ti

    Hi Rob

Once you've finished your swapout ( 046ti for the 050ti ) and have listened long enough to form an opinion , I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts on any sonic differences between the two.

    - Maybe Gisakrd knows the answers to the following.

What gives the 050ti its' gold colour?
Would it be, vapour deposited gold / over the titanium ?

    Thanks <> Earl K

Yes that's it. Here is the changed out system. Geez only took 2 years to get the 2214's and a pair of 046's off E-Bay! So now I am all original the only thing I should do is increase the bass cabinet size to match the real thing. That one going to wait a while!

    Nice !

I've always admired that effort - to make your own XPL .

Looking forward to any impressions you offer up on the different tweeters .
