any idea what JBL cabinet or custom?

I just picked these up, standard speaker setup 130a, n1200, 175 combo 1964 time frame. The cabinets are very well built, if not a JBL cab then the builder was a expert. looks like teak and the speaker grille is two layers of copper screen from that time period. By the way the speakers and componets are in excellent condition, this was a system in an old mid century home its entire life, original cones etc. Each cabinet is about 111LB not including the pedistals 20"D x 40"H x 23.5W

Yes but backs are flat and the front grills as you see are framed and inset into the front. I havent seen C34 like this. Oh its possible the owner had the front grills custom made.....

I had a pair of c34's, those look very similar but better made as a whole.
1. Grills are removed by screws on the bottom.
2. The brace on the front is slightly in the wrong place.
3. The screw that holds the potato masher in, not there.
4. Crossover turned the wrong direction.

They look beautiful, in my opinion have been taken to the next level of quality.

PS.
There are no logos on the grills.
Both of my pairs over the years had logos, to different styles over the years.

I think your right. They just made changes to them for the better. I measured depth now and from original and makes sense. Also the original cabinet material is behind the copper grill. Truly amazing. And I just tested one and OMG incredible! Now I know why there is a Lansing website
