MIKE!!! JACKPOT, JACKPOT, JACKPOT! I must say, you're making this more and more drool worthy! Even a spare aluminum diaphragm!

And this is all within Lima or a surrounding city?? Wow.

Do you now have a running list of the gear and how many? Looks like time to buy a lottery ticket!

Very happy for ya, may be interested if something catches my eye.

    Regards,

    Bart

When I get it all moved here, I will detail more of it. There are mid-range horns that are spoken for, but there will be some 2440's available, and some 4560 cabs for cheap. Some other stuff. I'm still sorting it. I just really wonder what that dude pulled out of here 7 years ago, and gave him 7K then. I bet it didn't go in a new theatre, but was sold. Tube stuff, and who knows, maybe WE stuff? This place opened in the 20's. There really isn't necessarily all that much stuff that may draw interest here, but I will make the forum aware of the gear in case anyone needs/wants it. This really isn't a money making scheme for me, it was to get audiohack a Ubangi to match his other one, and then dispose of the rest at reasonable market values, which is what I gave the owner. He's got a few weird items that may end up catching someones fancy, though, under that tarp. Nothing fabulous, though.

There is/was a company called the Theater Preservation Group or something similar that canvased the country doing just what you described, and operating about the time you describe, buying as much of the old theater gear as they could find. After trying to chase them down and being redirected to some Asian websites I drew the conclusion (possibly incorrectly) that they had indeed preserved much of it, in Asia. Better to be appreciated somewhere than in a landfill.
If we knew what the hell we were doing, we wouldn't call it research would we.

Well, the deal is done. Audiohack is going to have a pile of gear to play with. And the owner mentioned today that he had tweeters in the basement and did I want to see them? See them? No, I want to buy them. Done.

    Mike,

if the 2405's have the square plate attached, they should have threaded mounting holes which would allow behind the baffle flush mounting via machine screws, 8/32 x 1 1/4 FLH.

See this exploded diagram for details of use in the 4333B:

Yeah, good point, thanks, but I want to possibly mount them in my 4560's as there originally were before I converted them with subwoofs help from 3 way to 2 way. Just for the hell of it.

No, I'm referring to the angled L bracket JBL used for these.
